In partnership with our service provider Correla, this weekend we will be re-platforming the Gas Enquiry Service (GES). Read about the enhanced service we will be providing to our customer, the Retail Energy Code Company (RECCo).

The GES is being upgraded this weekend

In partnership with our service provider Correla, we'll be performing upgrades to the GES over this coming weekend, 22 and 23 June 2024.

Users of the GES platform won't need to do anything differently because of this upgrade and there is no planned disruption to the service availability over the weekend.

Last year we set out plans to enhance the Gas Enquiry Service (GES)

In early 2023, we collaborated with our service provider Correla, and our customer RECCo, proposing enhancements to the Gas Enquiry Service (GES).

We focussed these enhancements on improving technical architecture and system performance without impacting user experience.

The new GES will deliver a more efficient service to RECCo.

Enhanced performance and service stability

While the user experience will remain unchanged, the new technical architecture means the service is more robust and efficient. The re-platforming also creates opportunities for the service to be developed further in the future to meet RECCo’s emerging customer requirements.

The new technical architecture is aligned with RECCo’s Data and Digitalisation strategy and is built around a microservices format. This will not only deliver enhanced system stability and resilience, but crucially set up GES to meet the evolving challenges of a net zero energy system.
